AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION IN SUPPORT OF DENTAL AUXILIARY CAREER LADDER EDUCATION.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--

A. Four hundred fifty-six thousand five hundred dollars ($456,500) is appropriated from the general fund for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to support dental auxiliary career ladder education in the following amounts to the following institutions:

(1) two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to the board of regents of eastern New Mexico university for the dental auxiliary program at the Roswell campus;

(2) one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to the board of regents of northern New Mexico state school for the dental auxiliary program at the El Rito campus; and

(3) one hundred fifty-six thousand five hundred dollars ($156,500) to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for the dental auxiliary program at the Dona Ana branch community college in Dona Ana county.

B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
