SENATE FLOOR AMENDMENT number ___1___ to SENATE FINANCE COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR SENATE BILL 307

1. On page 7, between lines 11 and 12, insert the following new subsection:

"C. Three million dollars ($3,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal years 2001 and 2002 to fund a merit pay pilot program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.".
