AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO MAKE IMPROVEMENTS ON STATE TRUST LAND.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million two hundred twenty thousand dollars ($1,220,000) is appropriated from the state lands maintenance fund to the state land office for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 for watershed restoration, remediation of contaminated sites, remediation of unauthorized landfills, stabilization of archeological sites and surveys for cultural resources and for management of noxious weeds on state trust land. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the state lands maintenance fund.
