MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A DENTAL ASSISTANT AND DENTAL HYGIENIST PROGRAM AT SAN JUAN COLLEGE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--

A. Three hundred fifty-eight thousand dollars ($358,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the governing board of San Juan college for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 and subsequent fiscal years for the following purposes for the dental assistant and dental hygienist program at San Juan college:

(1) two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) for the operation of the program; and

(2) one hundred fifty-eight thousand dollars ($158,000) for equipment.

B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
