AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO SUPPORT A PROGRAM FOR SPECIAL EVALUATIONS OF CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS WITH CONCERNS OF SEXUAL ABUSE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred ninety-eight thousand dollars ($198,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to support a program of child-sensitive, forensically sound medical evaluations for children and adolescents with concerns of sexual abuse and sexual assault. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
