AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT TO CONTRACT FOR SERVICES TO ESTABLISH AN E-COMMERCE INITIATIVE TO INCREASE SALES AND VISIBILITY OF NEW MEXICO PRODUCTS.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the economic development department for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to contract for services to establish an e-commerce initiative that provides access to New Mexico companies by developing a web site template for on-line marketing, in conjunction with existing wholesale trade promotion, to increase sales and visibility of New Mexico products. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
