AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO STUDY POTENTIAL SEPARATION OF THE RIO GRANDE CLUSTER OR SCHOOLS SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 40 FROM THE ALBUQUERQUE PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to study the potential separation of the Rio Grande cluster or schools south of interstate 40 from the Albuquerque public school district. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
