AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO IMPLEMENT A STATEWIDE OUTREACH PROGRAM TO ASSIST ELIGIBLE INDIVIDUALS TO ENROLL IN THE PRESCRIPTION DRUG PATIENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM AND THE VETERANS' ADMINISTRATION HEALTH CARE PROGRAM.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifteen thousand dollars ($215,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state agency on aging for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 for the health insurance benefits assistance corps to implement a statewide outreach, education and direct-service program to assist individuals who are eligible to enroll in or access the prescription drug patient assistance program and the veterans' administration health care program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
