AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO TO PROVIDE FOR WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT IN THE BARELAS, SOUTH VALLEY AND DOWNTOWN AREAS OF ALBUQUERQUE.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred forty-three thousand dollars ($543,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to provide for workforce development through the division of continuing education that is designed to focus on developing the workforce in the Barelas, south valley and downtown areas of Albuquerque. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
