AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR PREPARATION OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS FOR CAREERS IN OR FURTHER EDUCATIONAL INSTRUCTION IN FIELDS SUCH AS ELECTRONICS AND ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, SKILLED MANUFACTURING, MANUFACTURING DESIGN, QUALITY CONTROL AND THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY BY THE LOS LUNAS SCHOOLS CAREER ACADEMY.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 for the Los Lunas schools career academy to prepare high school students for careers in or further educational instruction in fields such as electronics and electrical industries, skilled manufacturing, manufacturing design, quality control and the hospitality industry. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
