AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR ENDANGERED SPECIES ACT OF 1973 LITIGATION.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two million sixty-five thousand two hundred dollars ($2,065,200) is appropriated from the general fund to the office of the state engineer for expenditure in fiscal years 2002 through 2005 to pay for Endangered Species Act of 1973 litigation and associated solutions. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
