AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE OFFICE OF CULTURAL AFFAIRS FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONTRACTING FOR SERVICES TO IDENTIFY WORTHY STUDENTS ELIGIBLE FOR ENTERTAINMENT-RELATED SCHOLARSHIPS.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION--ENTERTAINMENT-RELATED SCHOLARSHIPS.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the office of cultural affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 for the purpose of contracting with the New Mexico Hispano entertainers association to assist the office in identifying worthy students eligible for entertainment-related scholarships and for scholarship awards. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
