AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO FOR EXPENDITURE BY THE DIVISION OF DENTAL SERVICES OF THE SCHOOL OF MEDICINE TO HELP TO PROVIDE DENTAL CARE TO CERTAIN SPECIAL NEEDS PATIENTS.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 by the division of dental services of the school of medicine to train dentists to treat pediatric and developmentally disabled patients and to develop, in collaboration with the New Mexico dental association, a clearinghouse of dentists willing to provide care for economically disadvantaged and special needs patients. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
