AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC EDUCATION TO FUND THE GUARANTEED LOAN PROGRAM FOR PURCHASE OF ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY FOR NEW MEXICANS WITH DISABILITIES.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thirty-five thousand dollars ($535,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the vocational rehabilitation division of the state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 for the purpose of funding the guaranteed loan program for purchase of assistive technology for New Mexicans with disabilities. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
