AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR RELOCATION OF THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL REPOSITORY COLLECTION OF THE MUSEUM OF INDIAN ARTS AND CULTURE; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred ninety-nine thousand dollars ($199,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the office of cultural affairs for expenditure in fiscal years 2001 and 2002 to relocate the archaeological repository collection of the museum of Indian arts and culture from the basement of the old St. Vincent hospital building in Santa Fe. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.

Section 2. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
