AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES DEPARTMENT TO EXPAND A CONTINUUM OF JUVENILE JUSTICE SERVICES IN THE SIXTH JUDICIAL DISTRICT.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to expand a continuum of juvenile justice services, including delinquency prevention programs, intervention programs and detention programs, in the sixth judicial district. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
