AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND FORENSIC INVESTIGATIONS AND RELATED SERVICES ON TRIBAL LAND.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for the office of the medical examiner for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to conduct forensic investigations and related services as requested on tribal land in New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
