AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE NEW MEXICO OFFICE OF INDIAN AFFAIRS FOR DEVELOPING AND IMPLEMENTING A COMMUNITY-BASED YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAM IN THE COMMUNITY OF TOHATCHI.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Forty-two thousand dollars ($42,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to contract for the development and implementation of a community-based youth leadership program in the community of Tohatchi. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
