AN ACT

RELATING TO DAMAGES TO PRIVATE PROPERTY; CREATING LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES RESULTING TO PRIVATE PROPERTY FROM GOLF BALLS ORIGINATING FROM A GOLF COURSE.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. LIABILITY--OWNERS--GOLF COURSES.--

A. The owner of a golf course is liable for damages resulting to private property from golf balls originating from a golf course.

B. For purposes of this section, "golf course" means a public or privately owned golf course, driving range or area open to commercial golfing.
