AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR OPERATING COSTS OF EXPANDED BUS SERVICE IN THE ALBUQUERQUE SOUTH VALLEY.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fourteen thousand dollars ($214,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 for the purpose of increasing bus service from every hour to every half-hour and extending the service an additional three and one-half hours for bus riders using route 53, which has the second highest ridership per bus ratio, in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
