AN ACT

RELATING TO THE PUBLIC PEACE, HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELFARE; MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ACQUIRE BOONE DRAW IN ROOSEVELT COUNTY PURSUANT TO THE NATURAL LANDS PROTECTION ACT.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred twenty thousand dollars ($320,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the energy, minerals and natural resources department for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to acquire the land in Roosevelt county known as Boone Draw. The land shall be acquired and managed pursuant to the Natural Lands Protection Act. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
