REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN JAL IN LEA COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

to the state agency on aging

forty-five thousand dollars ($45,000) to purchase a handicapped-accessible van for senior citizens in Jal in Lea county;

to the department of environment

three hundred eighteen thousand dollars ($318,000) to drill a water well in Jal in Lea county; and

seven hundred eighty-five thousand four hundred eighty dollars ($785,480) to replace the main water transmission line located outside the city limits in Jal in Lea county;

to the state highway and transportation department

twenty-one thousand four hundred ninety dollars ($21,490) to pave Wyoming avenue and Ninth street at the former junior high building and to improve the parking lot in Jal in Lea county; and

to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

fifty-two thousand dollars ($52,000) to purchase a vehicle and to construct or purchase a central command post for the Jal fire department in Lea county; and

sixty thousand dollars ($60,000) to remove dangerous buildings and debris in Jal in Lea county.
