REQUESTED BY

FOR CHANGING THE PURPOSE AND EXTENDING THE EXPENDITURE PERIOD OF AN APPROPRIATION TO THE OFFICE OF THE STATE ENGINEER FOR CONSTRUCTION OF IRRIGATION SYSTEMS FOR AGRICULTURAL PROJECTS AT THE PUEBLO OF LAGUNA IN CIBOLA COUNTY.

The appropriation made from the New Mexico irrigation works construction fund to the office of the state engineer pursuant to Paragraph (2) of Subsection A of Section 29 of Chapter 2 of Laws 1999 (1st S. S.) to plan and design irrigation systems for agricultural projects at Laguna pueblo in Cibola county shall not be expended for its original purpose but is appropriated to the office of the state engineer to construct irrigation systems for agricultural projects at the pueblo of Laguna in Cibola county. The period of time in which this appropriation may be expended is extended through fiscal year 2006. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the New Mexico irrigation works construction fund.
