45TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 2001

REQUESTED BY

FOR EQUIPMENT AND VEHICLE PURCHASES AND UPGRADES THROUGHOUT THE STATE.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

to the general services department

three million dollars ($3,000,000) to purchase new vehicles; and

to the taxation and revenue department

one hundred seventy-one thousand dollars ($171,000) to purchase driver vision screening and testing equipment for motor vehicle division field offices statewide;

seventy-eight thousand dollars ($78,000) to purchase driver license testing equipment for motor vehicle division field offices statewide; and

three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) to purchase equipment to implement electronic commerce.
