45TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 2001

REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN SENATE DISTRICT 34 IN EDDY COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

to the state agency on aging

one hundred sixty-one thousand dollars ($161,000) to construct activity rooms as an addition to the senior center meal site in Artesia in Eddy county;

to the department of environment

two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) for phase 1 water system improvements, including a water storage tank and repairs to existing water lines, in Eddy county;

to the state highway and transportation department

two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) for phase 2 renovations and construction of the mainstreet project from First street to Seventh street in Artesia in Eddy county; and

to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

four hundred ninety-four thousand dollars ($494,000) to construct phase 3 of an administrative and classroom facility for the head start center in Artesia in Eddy county;

sixty-one thousand seven hundred seventy-five dollars ($61,775) to engineer and construct phase 3 outdoor recreation improvements at the Otis community center in Eddy county; and

four hundred seventy-eight thousand dollars ($478,000) for phase 1 and 2 engineering and construction improvements and repairs to the sheriff posse arena in Eddy county.
