SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 340

STATE OF NEW MEXICO

45TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 2001

REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN THE TOWN OF LAKE ARTHUR IN CHAVES COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

to the state agency on aging

seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) to construct, equip and furnish improvements to the Lake Arthur senior center in Chaves county;

to the state highway and transportation department

two hundred ten thousand dollars ($210,000) to plan, design and construct a new street from Fourth to Eighth street and to improve Sixth street from Kansas avenue to Pennsylvania avenue in Lake Arthur in Chaves county; and

to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

ten thousand dollars ($10,000) to renovate, equip and furnish the law enforcement building in Lake Arthur in Chaves county; and

to the state department of public education

five hundred seventy thousand dollars ($570,000) to plan, design, construct, equip and landscape the athletic fields in the Lake Arthur municipal school district in Chaves county.
