SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 95

45TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 2001

REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN SENATE DISTRICT 32 FOR DEXTER IN CHAVES COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

to the department of environment

thirty-two thousand dollars ($32,000) for water tank renovations in Dexter in Chaves county;

to the state highway and transportation department

one hundred seventy-seven thousand eight hundred dollars ($177,800) for phase 5 street improvements to the Lake Van project in Dexter in Chaves county; and

seven hundred twenty thousand dollars ($720,000) for phase 3 street improvements and upgrades in the southwest quadrant in Dexter in Chaves county;

to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) to purchase and install playground equipment for the Lake Van and Monroe parks in Dexter in Chaves county; and

three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) to plan, design, construct, equip and furnish a new central fire station in Dexter in Chaves county; and

to the state department of public education

seventy-six thousand two hundred dollars ($76,200) for educational technology and infrastructure improvements at the Dexter high school computer laboratory in the Dexter consolidated school district in Chaves county;

sixty-two thousand dollars ($62,000) for educational technology in the Dexter consolidated school district in Chaves county; and

two million two hundred seventy-six thousand two hundred twenty-three dollars ($2,276,223) to plan, design, construct and equip kindergarten and preschool wings, administration and therapy workrooms and restrooms for the early childhood education center in Dexter in Chaves county.
