Synopsis of Bill



House Bill 256 amends Section 1-4-42 NMSA 1978 to include determination of non-citizenship of the voter as a reason for cancellation of certificates of voter registration. In addition, the bill provides how non-citizenship may be determined and provides specific information that must be found on the certification of non-citizen status.



FISCAL IMPLICATIONS



There is no appropriation or significant fiscal implication contained in this bill.
