Synopsis of Bill



House Bill 260 amends Section 1-12-42 NMSA 1978 to provide employees who are members of an Indian nation, tribe or pueblo with time to vote in tribal or pueblo elections. Currently, statute allows voters to be absent for two hours during election time. This bill specifically includes tribal or pueblo elections.
