SUMMARY

Synopsis of Bill

HJM 53 seeks to change the name of the town of Seboyeta, New Mexico to the "Town of Cebolleta", which was the original name upon the inception of the community. Currently, the "Town of Cebolleta" is a registered entity in the Federal General Accounting Office, yet the U.S. Postal Service changed this name to Seboyeta. Accordingly, much confusion has occurred within official state documents and requests. With that, this bill would make the "Town of Cebolleta" the official name of this community.

FISCAL IMPLICATIONS

There are no fiscal implications with this bill, other than such examples as changing stationary and the like.
