Specifically, this bill proposes to amend section 22-2-8.4 of NMSA 1978, by removing references to prior school years (cleanup language); removes the public speaking/communication skills credit requirement; increases required elective units from nine to ten units, removes practical arts from the list of electives that may be offered for credit; changes the acronym "R.O.T.C" to reserve officers' training corps; and removes the final examination requirement in classes offered for credit.
