SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Joint Memorial 62 resolves the Children, Youth and Families Department, Human Services Department and Department of Health work to ensure that a child receiving specialized foster care services is provided an uninterrupted transition from that program to the developmentally disabled Medicaid waiver program.
Significant Issues
DDPC indicates the provisions in the bill could be addressed by the Statewide Transition Coordinating Council.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
Not all children under the foster care program would be eligible for services under the DD Medicaid waiver program.
