A MEMORIAL

EXPRESSING THE SENATE'S DESIRE TO HONOR A PARTICULAR SENATOR BY ADOPTING AN OFFICIAL MASCOT FOR HIS OFFICE.



WHEREAS, there is only one senator serving the people of his area since 1979; and

WHEREAS, there is only one senator who has had his dog banned from the capitol; and

WHEREAS, there is only one senator who has a twin brother; and

WHEREAS, there is only one senator who has two brothers who have been mayor; and

WHEREAS, there is only one senator who is a sheep rancher from Roswell;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO that recognition be extended to the only senator who has a remarkable resemblance to a particular mascot for a hamburger chain; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the office of the senate majority floor leader now, and as long as the current majority floor leader maintains that position, be known as the office of Tim's Big Boy; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the office of Tim's Big Boy be represented by an appropriate mascot and the chief clerk of the New Mexico senate make appropriate arrangements for that mascot to be prominently and proudly displayed at all times during the current majority floor leader's occupation of said office.
