FOR THE CORRECTIONS OVERSIGHT AND JUSTICE COMMITTEE

AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CORRECTIONS DEPARTMENT TO CONTRACT FOR A PILOT DAY REPORTING PROGRAM FOR FEMALE INMATES IN BERNALILLO COUNTY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the corrections department for expenditure in fiscal year 2003 to contract for a pilot day reporting program for female inmates in Bernalillo county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.
