AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL PLANNING, POLICY DEVELOPMENT, ADVOCACY, ACTION AND OUTREACH.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2003 to establish the institute for urban-rural education policy, planning, advocacy and action to provide outreach to the rural and urban communities of New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.
