AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE EXPANSION OF THE PRESCRIPTION DRUG OUTREACH EFFORTS OF THE STATE AGENCY ON AGING.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifteen thousand dollars ($115,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state agency on aging for expenditure in fiscal year 2003 to expand outreach efforts to help low-income senior citizens statewide obtain free prescription drugs from pharmaceutical manufacturers through the use of an automated system for processing applications. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.
