AN ACT

RELATING TO ELECTIONS; REQUIRING COUNTY CLERKS TO REPORT ABSENTEE AND EARLY IN-PERSON VOTING RESULTS BY PRECINCT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. A new section of the Election Code is enacted to read:

"[NEW MATERIAL] POST-ELECTION DUTIES--ABSENTEE AND EARLY IN-PERSON VOTE REPORTING.--The county clerk shall report to the secretary of state absentee and early in-person vote totals for each precinct in the county within thirty days of the date of the election."
