45TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2002

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN OTERO COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the state highway and transportation department

one million one hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($1,125,000) for road construction from the railroad tracks to United States highway 54 and for other road improvements in Otero county;

three million dollars ($3,000,000) to construct relief route connectors at First street, Indian Wells road and Scenic drive in Alamogordo in Otero county; and

three hundred ninety-three thousand five hundred twenty-five dollars ($393,525) to construct drainage culverts to convey flood waters from La Luz and Laborcita canyons under Riata road in Otero county; and

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

three million dollars ($3,000,000) to plan, design and construct a juvenile detention center in Otero county; and

seven hundred thousand dollars ($700,000) to plan, design and construct a road shop facility in Otero county.
