FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN ALAMOGORDO IN OTERO COUNTY.

 

 

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

 

to the department of environment

 

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to replace water lines on south Florida avenue in Alamogordo in Otero county; and

 

one million seven hundred eighty-four thousand dollars ($1,784,000) to improve and replace sewer lines in Alamogordo in Otero county;

 

to the state highway and transportation department

 

one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) to extend south Scenic drive from the railroad crossing to United States highway 54 in Alamogordo in Otero county;

 

one hundred thirty thousand dollars ($130,000) to install a traffic signal at the intersection of First street and Cuba avenue in Alamogordo in Otero county;

 

four hundred seventy thousand dollars ($470,000) to resurface south Florida avenue from First street to Panorama boulevard and replace curbs and gutters in Alamogordo in Otero county;

 

two hundred ninety thousand dollars ($290,000) for widening and extending south Florida avenue from Panorama boulevard to Armory street, including curbs, gutters, sidewalks and lighting, in Alamogordo in Otero county;

 

one million two hundred thirty-two thousand five hundred dollars ($1,232,500) for widening and extending south Florida avenue from Armory street to Desert Lakes road, including curbs, gutters, sidewalks and lighting, in Alamogordo in Otero county; and

 

sixty thousand dollars ($60,000) for improvements to First street, including signal lights, crosswalks, sidewalks and fencing, in Alamogordo in Otero county; and

 

to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

 

sixty thousand dollars ($60,000) for an addition of an accessible playground and for the expansion of the electrical and water systems at Alameda park in Alamogordo in Otero county;

 

one hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($175,000) to replace the lighting at Hooser sports complex in Alamogordo in Otero county;

 

three hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($375,000) to construct public restrooms for the parks and recreation system in Alamogordo in Otero county;

 

two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to replace the bubble covering the swimming pool at the family recreation center in Alamogordo in Otero county;

 

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to plan and develop a system of multipurpose recreational trails in Alamogordo in Otero county; and

 

one hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000) for an engineering study and plan to upgrade the electrical system for the Alamogordo public housing authority in Otero county.
