45TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2002

REQUESTED BY Terry T. Marquardt

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN OTERO COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the state highway and transportation department

one million dollars ($1,000,000) to construct Alamogordo relief route connectors in Otero county;

five hundred sixty-two thousand five hundred dollars ($562,500) to construct the section of roadway for the United States highway 54 railroad crossing and to make improvements to roadways in Otero county; and

two hundred six thousand four hundred fifteen dollars ($206,415) to construct drainage culverts to convey flood waters from the La Luz and Laborcita canyons under Riata road in Otero county; and

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

four hundred fifty thousand dollars ($450,000) to design, equip and construct a road shop facility in Otero county; and

three million dollars ($3,000,000) to design and construct a juvenile detention facility in Otero county.
