HOUSE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 972

45TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2002

REQUESTED BY Rhonda S. King

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS FOR ESTANCIA IN TORRANCE COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the department of environment

five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to engineer, extend sewer lines, install a lift station and upgrade the existing treatment plant in Estancia in Torrance county; and

two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to improve the water system, including the purchase of a storage tank and installation of water lines, in Estancia in Torrance county;

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) to purchase a tanker pumper and chassis upgrade for the Estancia fire department in Torrance county; and

• to the office of the state engineer

five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to construct a flood detention structure and for flood prevention in Estancia in Torrance county.
