HOUSE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 1100

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN ROOSEVELT COUNTY.

 

 

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

 

to the state highway and transportation department

 

six hundred fifty thousand dollars ($650,000) to improve roads in Roosevelt county;

 

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

 

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to upgrade the electrical system for pedestrian lighting at the fairgrounds in Roosevelt county;

 

six hundred two thousand dollars ($602,000) to renovate the courthouse in Portales in Roosevelt county;

 

one hundred thirty thousand dollars ($130,000) to construct and equip the opportunity center in Roosevelt county;

 

one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) to purchase a fire truck for the fire department in Causey in Roosevelt county;

 

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to make improvements to the extension office, including construction of additional meeting space, in Roosevelt county; and

 

twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) to purchase radio equipment for the sheriff's department in Roosevelt county; and

 

• to the state department of public education

 

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) for lighting in the Portales high school auditorium in the Portales municipal school district in Roosevelt county;

 

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) for a multipurpose facility at Portales high school in the Portales municipal school district in Roosevelt county;

twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) to replace the sound system at Portales high school in the Portales municipal school district in Roosevelt county;

 

one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) to renovate the gymnasium at Portales junior high school in the Portales municipal school district in Roosevelt county; and

 

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) for a kitchen facility at Brown early childhood center in the Portales municipal school district in Roosevelt county.
