SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 902

STATE OF NEW MEXICO

45TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2002

REQUESTED BY Shirley M. Bailey

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN CURRY COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the state highway and transportation department

six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) to expand east Seventh street in Clovis in Curry county; and

sixty-five thousand dollars ($65,000) to chip seal county road 8 from county road E to county road G in Curry county;

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

one hundred sixty-five thousand dollars ($165,000) to prepare the site for and to construct a warehouse for the life saver food bank in Clovis in Curry county;

two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to purchase a fire truck and related equipment for the volunteer fire department in Texico in Curry county;

four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) to construct barns and buildings at the fairgrounds in Curry county;

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to renovate county-owned property into office space in Curry county; and

three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) to construct an addition to the juvenile detention center in Curry county; and

• to the state department of public education

three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) for additional construction in the Texico municipal school district in Curry county.
