SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 903

45TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2002

REQUESTED BY Shirley M. Bailey

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN ROOSEVELT COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to upgrade the electrical system for pedestrian lighting at the fairgrounds in Roosevelt county;

three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) for phase 1 improvements to the youth pavilion at the fairgrounds in Roosevelt county;

two hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($225,000) to chip seal and repair the parking lots and midway grounds at the fairgrounds in Roosevelt county;

six hundred two thousand dollars ($602,000) to renovate the courthouse in Portales in Roosevelt county;

one hundred thirty thousand dollars ($130,000) to construct and equip the opportunity center in Roosevelt county; and

one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) to purchase a fire truck for the fire department in Causey in Roosevelt county.
