SUMMARY

     Synopsis of Bill

House Bill 283 excludes circumcisions from approved procedures paid with Medicaid funds in the absence of medical necessity approved by a physician.  Human Services reports this is not contrary to current policy and Medicaid services are by definition performed based only on medical necessity.
