     Synopsis of Bill

 

House Bill 317 creates the Land Grant Committee, functioning from the date of appointment to December 1, 2002.  It appropriates $20.0 from the general fund to the Legislative Council Service for expenditure in fiscal year 2003 for the purpose of paying salaries and expenses of technical, legal and clerical staff, purchasing equipment and supplies and reimbursing per diem and mileage of Land Grant Committee members.

FISCAL IMPLICATIONS

 

The appropriation of $20.0 contained in this bill is a nonrecurring expense to the general fund. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.

 

ADMINISTRATIVE IMPLICATIONS

 

The work of the committee would be supported by Legislative Council Service staff.
