SUMMARY

 

     Synopsis of Bill

 

Senate Bill 419 appropriates $360.8 from the general fund to the Board of Regents of the University of New Mexico (UNM) for expenditure in FY2003 to provide training in research, library skills and general training to minority students.

 

     Significant Issues

This proposal was not included in the UNM Board of Regents budget request to the CHE.  Consequently, it was not reviewed nor recommended.

 

FISCAL IMPLICATIONS

 

The appropriation of $360.8 contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the general fund. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY2003 shall revert to the general fund.
