REQUESTING RAYMOND SANCHEZ TO MEDIATE A DISPUTE BETWEEN THE CARRIE TINGLEY HOSPITAL FOUNDATION AND THE HEALTH SCIENCES CENTER OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO.

WHEREAS, the Carrie Tingley hospital foundation provides funding to special needs patients and their families; and

WHEREAS, the Carrie Tingley hospital foundation is a nonprofit organization; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Sanchez, the former speaker of the New Mexico house of representatives, has agreed to mediate a dispute between the Carrie Tingley hospital foundation and the health sciences center of the university of New Mexico;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO that Raymond Sanchez be requested to serve as a mediator between the Carrie Tingley hospital foundation and the health sciences center of the university of New Mexico; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the mediation investigate the possibility of developing an independent advisory board for the operation of the Carrie Tingley hospital foundation; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Carrie Tingley hospital foundation and the health sciences center of the university of New Mexico be requested to share the expenses of the mediation; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this memorial be sent to the Carrie Tingley hospital foundation, the health sciences center of the university of New Mexico and Raymond Sanchez.
