AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR COMPLIANCE WITH NATIONAL COLLEGIATE ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION REQUIREMENTS BY NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2004 to meet national collegiate athletic association and federal requirements by providing for scholarships and coaching and athletic trainer positions. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2004 shall revert to the general fund.
