Your FINANCE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 167 AND SENATE BILL 167

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 1, line 12, after the semicolon strike the remainder of the line and strike line 13 through the semicolon.

2. On page 7, lines 4 and 5, strike "on or after January 1," and insert in lieu thereof "in".

3. On page 9, line 17, after "beginning" strike the remainder of the line, strike all of line 18, strike line 19 through "effect" and insert in lieu thereof "in 2005".

4. On page 11, line 24, after "January 1" strike the remainder of the line and strike line 25 through "effect" and insert in lieu thereof ", 2006".

5. On page 15, strike lines 5 through 25 and on page 16, strike lines 1 through 18 and insert in lieu thereof the following new section:

"Section 7. EFFECTIVE DATE.--

A. The effective date of the provisions of Section 1 of this act is July 1, 2003.

B. The effective date of the provisions of Section 3 of this act is January 1, 2004.

C. The effective date of the provisions of Section 4 of this act is January 1, 2005.

D. The effective date of the provisions of Section 5 of this act is January 1, 2006.".
